National Youth Brain Injury Prevention Tour Gives Concussion Presentation to Moore High School

Sarah Jane Brain Foundation In The News

MOORE, OK – Students from two Environmental Science classes and two anatomy classes participated in the Sarah Jane Brain Project’s concussion presentation this morning. The four presentations took place in Bart Richardson’s classroom at Moore High School.

Dr. Janet Tyler, Ph.D. and Leslie Mabry showed the project’s multimedia presentation and videos to the students and answered their many questions about concussions and brain injuries. Leslie asked a class what they thought the most important thing they learned and one student said, “I learned that if you feel like you might have a concussion you need to tell someone.”

Mr. Richardson led a class discussion where the students talked about their personal experiences with concussions. Most students knew someone who has suffered a concussion.

The Sarah Jane Brain Project will be presenting at high schools throughout the United States for the next five months. For more information please visit www.thebrainproject.org
